Home to the largest gaming floor in the state, clocking in at 181,000 square feet, the casino has over 1,900 slots, 70 table games, and one of the best poker rooms WV in which tournaments are held almost daily. This is among the most well-known West Virginia casinos. The casino was added in 1997, and today the establishment essentially functions as a resort, with bars and restaurants, a 1,500-person entertainment venue, and a 153-room hotel.
Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races was initially built as a racetrack to serve West Virginia’s emerging horse betting market after horse and greyhound betting was legalized in 1930.
